Construction Contract Notification Requirement

Contracting officers, applicants and contractors are required to give written notice to OFCCP within 10 working days of award of a construction contract or subcontract in excess of $10,000 (see 41 CFR 60-4.2).

The notification should include:

  • the name, address and telephone number of the contractor;
  • employer identification number;
  • dollar amount of the contract,
  • estimated starting and completion dates of the contract;
  • the contract number; and
  • geographical area in which the contract is to be performed.

Notices should be sent to the OFCCP Regional office in which the work will be performed. Find the appropriate Region office online.

Affirmative Action Compliance Goals — Construction Contracts

The goals for minority and female participation for construction contracts were published as notices in Federal Register (minority goals were published on October 3,1980, and the female goal was published on December 30, 1980). Those Federal Register notices have been reproduced as an appendix to a technical assistance guide developed for construction contractors. See the online guide. The goals are publised in Appendix E.
