2004 Export Achievement Award Winners

Eriez Magnetics, a manufacturer of magnetic and non-magnetic separation equipment headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania, was awarded an Export Achievement Certificate in August 2004 for their long history and aggressive pursuits of export markets. They have used the U.S. Commercial Service programs to acheive export success in increasing sales in their current markets and entering into new markets. Most recently, as a result of the U.S. Commercial Service's counseling, Eriez was able to secure representation in South Korea.

Advanced Materials Corporation, a small company based in Greentree, Pennsylvania, manufactures an instrument that is used to measure the absorption and desoporption characteristics of hydrogen in storage that are employed ultimately in the manufacturing rechargeable batteries and fuel cells. They were awarded an Export Achievement Award in January 2004 for their excellence in exporting to China, India, and Pakistan. Advanced Materials was new to each of these markets and was able to introduce and export its products to these markets with the assistance of the U.S. Commercial Service. As a result of its joint efforts with the U.S. Commercial Service, Advanced Materials Corporation was able to double their export sales.
