OMB Control Number: 2900-New (VA FL 22-909). Type of Review: Existing collection in use without an OMB control number. Abstract: VA must notify eligible dependents of veterans receiving DEA benefits of their option to elect a beginning date to start their DEA benefits. VA will use the data collected on VA Form Letter 22-909 to determine the appropriate amount of benefit is payable to the claimant. An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on this collection of information was published on February 22, 2007, at page 8073. Affected Public: Individuals or households. Estimated Annual Burden: 5,718 hours. Estimated Average Burden Per Respondent: 15 minutes. Frequency of Response: One-time.
