The Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Sponsor
acts on behalf of the Department or agency to request an Applicant be issued a
PIV card after completion of appropriate identity authentication and background
checks.
TRAINING:
Click here to access the training
required before a PIV Sponsor can request a PIV card for an Applicant. Be
sure to print out and retain your certificate
of completion with your Sponsor ID Number. You will need this number
to perform your role as PIV Sponsor.
Additional required training should be completed on the Commerce Learning Center (CLC).

STEP 1: Click on the following link: https://doc.learn.com, and log onto the appropriate bureau.
STEP 2: While logged in to the appropriate bureau, in the search engine, type in USACCESS.
STEP 3: Choose your assigned role and complete the online training.
STEP 4: Once you have completed the online training, print the certificate and email (osy_piv1training@doc.gov) or fax it to 202-482-2101.
