Applicant

The Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Applicant is a current or prospective Department of Commerce (DOC) employee, contractor, or visitor, and is considered an Applicant until his or her identity has been verified using the new process and he or she is deemed suitable for access to Federal facilities and information systems.  This is true even if an individual already has a current “ID” or “badge” issued by the Department or one of its bureaus.

TRAINING:           Click here to access the training required for all current and prospective DOC employees, contractors, and visitors.  Each PIV applicant must complete this training and retain his or her certificate of completion before being issued a PIV card. Be sure to print out and retain your certificate of completion with your Applicant ID Number.  You will need this number to receive a PIV card.

If you have any questions about the training, please contact the Office of Security at osy_piv1training@doc.gov or 202-482-8116.
