Welcome to the Center for Medical, Agricultural, and Veterinary Entomology web site. CMAVE is located adjacent to the University of Florida campus in Gainesville. The Center conducts research on insects of agricultural, medical, and veterinary importance with the goal of achieving control of pest species through the development of environmentally acceptable approaches.

The Location Support Unit at CMAVE provides administrative support to four research units:

Chemistry
Imported Fire Ant and Household Insects
Insect Behavior and Biocontrol
Mosquito and Fly
