Partnerships in the Southern Weed Science Research Unit include the following:
August 2003 - A Specific Cooperative Agreement has been developed between Dr. Robert M. Zablotowicz (SWSRU) and Dr. Charles Ed Snipes (MAFES). The study, 'Integrated Best Management Practices for Cotton Production to Meet TMDL Standards for Water Quality', will run through July 2008.
May 2003 - Dr. Robert M. Zablotowicz (SWSRU) was granted a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with SePro Corp (Carmel, IN) for 'Development of Molecular Diagnostic Tools for Characterization of Fluridone-Degrading Microorganisms'. The agreement ran through April 2005.
The USDA-ARS continually looks for opportunities to partner with private sector businesses, other federal agencies, state and local governments, universities, and its customers.
These partnerships are designed to augment research programs, expedite research results to the private sector, exchange information and knowledge, stimulate new business and economic development, enhance U.S. trade, preserve the environment, and improve the quality of life for all Americans.
