The data are from the March 1995 Current Population Survey. The 1995 tabulations provide information such as: - Nearly 3 out of 10 (27 percent) children under 18 lived with only one parent. - Approximately 4 million grandchildren lived in the home of their grandparents. - There were 3.7 million unmarried-couple households. - One-third of people aged 25 to 34 had never been married. - 32 percent of persons 65 and over lived alone.
