The Tourism Policy Coordination group is formed to reinvigorate the Tourism Policy Council dedicated to federal agency coordination for all tourism-related
activities; enhance communication with the industry, Congress, and state and local governments through the establishment of an electronic network (TPCNet) for
travel and tourism information, data and technical assistance available throughout the federal government;coordinate interagency federal programs that affect
tourism development, including facilitation issues such as support of the Visa Waiver Pilot Program, and; represent tourism industry needs and issue areas for
international commercial diplomacy and in intergovernmental organizations and other relevant fora.
