2008 National Readiness Quotient Survey Released
A nationwide survey conducted by the Council and the American Red Cross finds public preparedness for disasters needs improvement. The nation's collective Readiness Quotient (RQ) decreased from 4.14 to in September 2007 to 3.57. Read more of the findings.

The Council's latest report brings the voice and practical insights of the general public to the national debate about health care. This report is the culmination of an eight month initiative to examine the problems, opportunities and tradeoffs inherent in health care reform from the public’s perspective through survey research and town hall meetings.
