On April 22, 2008 (Earth Day) the White House Council of
Environmental Quality put out a report detailing the
accomplishments of the President's wetlands initiative -
the conservation of 3.6 million acres of wetlands over
the past four years. The full reporting of this
accomplishment can be found at the White House Council
of Environmental Quality website:

With wetlands digital data available
for only 53% of the Nation, NWI is beginning to add raster
scan images for non-digital maps for some portions of the
Nation
(OH, AZ, AR). Stay tuned for more.
