- A combined gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (GC/MS)
system consisting of a VG 7025H-B105 double focusing magnetic
sector mass spectrometer, a HP 5890A gas chromatograph, and a
Kratos Mach 3 data system.
- A Finnigan MAT 251 mass spectometer for stable carbon
isotope analysis.
- Two custom-made isotope prep lines with a LECO furnace and
a Perkin Elmer 8500 gas chromatograph for natural gases, liquid
and solid organic matter and carbonate samples.
- Several capillary gas chromatographs which are configured
with a variety of injection ports (split/splitless, on-column,
packed column) and detectors (FID, FPD, TCD).
- A Perkin Elmer HPLC system
- A Perkin Elmer UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
- A Rock-Eval II - anhydrous programmed pyrolysis.
- A Hyrdrous Pyrolysis Laboratory.
- Two Carlo Erba elemental analysers and one LECO
Carbon analyser.
- Data from the gas chromatographs, elemental analyzers and
HPLC are collected and processed on PE Turbochrom 4 chromatography
data system.
- A Laboratory peer-to-peer local area network (LAN) which
links the instrumentation with personal computers
- An HP 6890 gas chromatograph with a split/split-less
and packed column inlets and a flame ionization detector was
installed in 1996.
- A VG Optima mass spectrometer equipped with gas chromatograph
and elemental analyzer sample introduction systems. The instrument
can analyze stable isotopes of natural gases, liquid and solid
organic matter.
- Location: Denver.
