Abstract: This form requests information needed to determine eligibility for an education loan. VA uses the information to determine whether an eligible student's education-related expenses will exceed his or her financial resources during a specific enrollment period. The amount of the education may not be more than the difference between an applicant's education-related expenses and his or her available financial resources. Without this information, VA might underpay or overpay the amount of an education loan. An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on this collection of information was published on April 23, 1999, at pages 20061-20062.
