* Pocosin Lakes Tyrrell ducks, geese, tundra swans, coots, mergansers, mourning doves, woodcock, rails, snipe, quail, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, opossums, foxes, beavers, nutria, white-tailed deer, turkey, feral hogs (refuge permit required)
* Roanoke River Bertie deer, waterfowl, small game, turkey (all refuge hunts administered by NC Wildlife Resources Commission; Special hunt permit required)
* Swanquarter Hyde duck, coots

NOTE- There are public hunting blinds located on Bodie Island that are managed by the National Park Service. To obtain information about waterfowl hunting within Cape Hatteras National Seashore, visit: http://www.nps.gov/caha/huntreq.htm

* Actually located, all or in part, in Virginia, these refuges are very close to the North Carolina border. We provide this information here for your convenience. Of course, a valid Virginia hunting license is required to hunt on any land in Virginia, and all State regulations and bag limits apply.
