A message from the Regional Administrator

The New England Region provides federal agencies with leading-edge technology solutions, high-quality workplaces, and more than four million other products and services.

As Regional Administrator, my goal is to ensure that all our customers - government agencies, contractors, vendors, federal employees, job-seekers, and others who wish to do business with the government - can do so successfully, and that we run an efficient, effective organization, keeping in mind that we are stewards of the taxpayer's dollars.

I am proud to work with our employees to promote the President's Management Agenda which encompasses five components - Strategic Human Capital Management, Competitive Sourcing, Improved Financial Performance, Expanded Electronic Government, and Budget and Performance Integration - and the six GSA goals, which results in our organization delivering high quality services to our customers and the best value to taxpayers.

Those who work in or visit our buildings, use federal communications, procure supplies and services from our vendors, and utilize information technology are very important to us. Communication is critical to GSA's success in exceeding our customer's expectations. Our senior staff conducts regional marketing meetings with customer agency executives to discuss their agency's current and future needs. Likewise, employees who manage government contracts communicate, on a regular basis, with their customer contacts to discuss specific project needs. We encourage our customers to rate our performance. The feedback we receive is used to develop action plans designed to better serve our customers.

Our New England Regional Alliance Council reaches out to our customers with a "One GSA" approach to provide one-stop service. The council has been recognized at the national level for its many achievements and will continue to strategize on ways to better deliver services.

The New England Small Business Utilization Center assists those who wish to do business with the government. Monthly training sessions, held in the New England area, provide information and resources on how to successfully obtain a federal contract.
