Atlanta Receiving More New Residents
Than All But Four Other Major Metro Areas
Census Bureau Officials Highlight American Community Survey Results
on Migration, Housing, Income, Poverty and Education

- The U.S. Census Bureau will hold a news conference to highlight
new American Community Survey data showing that more than 500
people move into the Atlanta metro area each day. According to
the survey, Atlanta ranks fifth in the nation among total
in-migrants. Other data will show the status of education,
income, housing values and child poverty in Georgia and areas of
250,000 population or more within the state, including:
The Atlanta, Augusta, Macon and Savannah metropolitan statistical areas
The city of Atlanta, and Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties
