Linda Lingle and Census Bureau Director Louis Kincannon will hold a news conference to highlight new American Community Survey data showing how Hawaii ranks among the top 10 states in housing values, household income and percentage of its population that is foreign-born. According to the survey, Hawaii home values are more than double the national median of $127,000. Other data will show where the state and Honolulu rank nationally in the number of veterans and the number of people who speak a language other than English at home.
