**CENSUS BUREAU MEDIA ADVISORY**
Census Bureau Director Updates Media on Census 2000 Operations
Census Bureau Director Kenneth Prewitt will brief the news media on
Census 2000 operations on Thursday, Jan. 6, at 9:30 EST.
Topics will include: the opening of the 520 census offices across the
country, recruitment of census workers and the second phase of the paid
advertising campaign to motivate residents to return their census forms.
