Ohio in Focus: Census Bureau Pre-Primary Snapshot
Ohio, which is holding its presidential primaries on March 4, had a 2007 population of about 11.5 million. Ohio has a higher percentage of the non-Hispanic white-alone population and a lower percentage of Hispanics than the nation as a whole, according to U.S. Census Bureau statistics. About 66 percent of Ohio’s voting-age citizens cast a ballot in the 2004 general election.
