Census Bureau Releases Population Estimates
The Commerce Department's Census Bureau today released a new set of
annual population estimates for the country, states and counties covering
the period between July 1, 1990, and July 1, 1999.
These data are the first of the new estimates covering the 1990s, and
are based on Census 2000 results. Additional releases for various
geographic levels and characteristics will be issued within the next
several months.
