Trucking
and Warehousing Revenues in 2002 Top $269 Billion, Census Bureau Reports |

The truck transportation, warehousing
and storage, and courier and messenger industries reported revenues of $269
billion in 2002, the U.S. Census Bureau said today.
Warehousing and storage revenues grew 12 percent over 2001 to $15 billion. Truck transportation revenues were $198 billion in 2002, and courier and messenger services remained about the same as 2001, with revenues of $56 billion in 2002. The report, 2002 Service Annual Survey: Truck Transportation, Couriers
