Objective: The USDA-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s (APHIS) National Wildlife Research Center is currently looking for an industrial partner to help develop and commercialize innovative transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE) vaccines.
Overview: TSE is a neurological disease that causes chronic wasting disease in moose, deer and elk and the so called "Mad Cow Disease" in bovines. There is a need to improve the overall performance of TSE therapies by studying new vaccine approaches. Researchers at the USDA-APHIS National Wildlife Research Center are developing these new vaccine approaches for TSE treatment.
Industry Type: The ideal partner will have expertise in vaccine development and manufacture, and the ability to contribute both intellectually and financially to the project.
