Long-term Contract Renewal, Central Valley Project, California

AGENCY: Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior.

ACTION: Notice of intent to prepare an environmental impact statement 
and notice of meetings; time extension to submit comments on the 
project scope.

SUMMARY: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has extended the time 
period for providing written comments on the project scope for the 
environmental document(s) to be prepared on renewing existing long-term 
and interim contracts for the Central Valley Project, California. 
Written comments may now be submitted by January 8, 1999, in accordance 
with the notice published in the Federal Register on October 15, 1998, 
(63 FR 55406).

DATE: Scoping comments are due January 8, 1999.
