Purpose: The USEPA's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and the Pacific Southwest Region will host a one-day workshop on August 2, 2006, to showcase 13 California companies currently developing technologies to improve human and environmental health. The workshop will provide an opportunity for SBIR awardees, small businesses, EPA staff, and stakeholders to learn about USEPA's SBIR program and how to develop successful Phase I projects. In addition, attendees can meet, in small groups, with the technology developers working on sensors, fuel cells, ground-water clean up, nanotechnologies, green buildings, and much more. This meeting is open to the public but you MUST REGISTER if you plan to attend.
