Demographic
International Database Update: 2007 — Internet files showing demographic indicators such as infant mortality, life expectancy, fertility rates, net migration and population growth for all countries and areas of the world. Includes current estimates that project age and sex distribution to 2050. (Scheduled for release in late July.)
Estimates of County Population by Age, Sex, Race and Hispanic Origin: July 1, 2006 — How diverse is your county? County-level population estimates cross-tabulated by these demographics characteristics will provide the answer. (Tentatively scheduled for release in late July.)
Facts for Features
Labor Day (Sept. 3) — This day, which for many marks the end of summer, is a longtime federal holiday (since 1894) honoring our nation’s workers. The Census Bureau spotlights our nation’s work force through this array of data from our demographic subject area. (Scheduled for release July 9.)
Grandparents Day (Sept. 9) — In observance of this day of storytelling and reflection, the Census Bureau tells the demographic story of these unsung role models and caregivers. (Scheduled for release July 9.)
Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) — Sept. 15 marks the anniversary of independence for five Latin American countries — Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua – and the starting point of this celebration of U.S. Latino culture and traditions. This fact sheet presents data from the Census Bureau’s demographic and economic subject areas pertaining to the nation’s Hispanic population. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-July.)
Unmarried and Single Americans Week (Sept. 16-22) — The third full week of September is dedicated to the nation’s singles. The Census Bureau presents statistics about this group from its demographic and economic subject areas. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-July.)

Profile America and Al Día (Spanish) for July/August — Upcoming segments include “Elvis’ First Recording” (July 19) and “America’s First Census” (Aug. 2). The entire set of August daily features will be available for direct downloads on July 31.
