Demographic Surveys

Families and Living Arrangements: 2005 — Tabulations from the Current Population Survey with national data by race and Hispanic origin on marital status and household size and composition. The tables also include information on topics such as “stay-at-home” parents and health insurance coverage of children. There is no report associated with the release of these data. (Scheduled for release May 25.)

Survey of Income and Program Participation Data Collection — In June, interviewers will visit 45,000 randomly selected households nationwide to ask about child-care arrangements, program participation, health insurance coverage, employment, income and other topics. (Tentatively scheduled for release late-May.)

2002 Economic Census

Survey of Business Owners: Asian-Owned Firms: 2002 — Report on the state of Asian-owned businesses from a survey conducted every five years. Statistics are shown separately for businesses with and without paid employees. The report includes data on sales and receipts for the nation, states and local areas with 100 or more Asian-owned businesses. Also, data on business ownership for various Asian groups. (Scheduled for release May 16.)

2002 Economic Census: Subject Series — Fifty-five reports for several industry sectors — all at the national level — are now being issued on a flow basis. These reports include information such as product shipments by contributing industries. All 883 geographic area series reports and 651 industry reports have been published. Facts for Features

The Fourth of July — Flags, fireworks and food are among the topics on which statistics are included in this tribute to the most American of holidays. Data come from across the Census Bureau’s demographic and economic subject areas. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-May.)

Anniversary of Americans with Disabilities Act (July 26) — Statistical information from the Census Bureau’s demographic subject areas about people with disabilities. (Tentatively scheduled for release late-May.)

Profile America and Al Dia (Spanish) for May/June — Upcoming segments include “Mother’s Day” (May 14), “Women in the Army” (May 18), “Memorial Day” (May 29) and “International Clothesline Week” (June 4).
