Decennial Surveys
Americans with Disabilities: 2002 — National-level data on people who face challenges such as difficulty seeing, hearing or preparing meals and/or have certain medical conditions like Alzheimer’s disease or mental retardation. Includes statistics on various demographic characteristics, e.g., age, perceived health status, health insurance coverage and computer usage. (Tentatively scheduled for release early-May.)
2005 American Housing Survey National Public Use Microdata File — First statistics from this microdata enable users to generate their own tabulations on a wide range of housing topics, e.g., housing costs, the frequency of repairs made and satisfaction with neighborhood. The file consists of records of individual responses to the survey, with identifying information removed. (Tentatively scheduled for release mid-May.)
Survey of Income and Program Participation Data Collection — In June, interviewers will visit 45,000 randomly selected households nationwide to ask about child-care arrangements, program participation, health insurance coverage, employment, income and other topics. (Tentatively scheduled for release late-May.)
Estimates and Projections
Estimates of U.S. Population by Age, Sex, Race and Hispanic Origin: July 1, 2005 — National-level population estimates cross-tabulated by these demographic characteristics. (Tentatively scheduled for release early-May.)

2002 Economic Census
Survey of Business Owners: Asian-Owned Firms: 2002 — Report on the state of Asian-owned businesses from a survey conducted every five years. Statistics are shown separately for businesses with and without paid employees. The report includes data on sales and receipts for the nation, states and local areas with 100 or more Asian-owned businesses. Also, data on business ownership by Asian ancestry. (Scheduled for release in mid-May.)
2002 Economic Census: Subject Series — Fifty-five reports for several industry sectors — all at the national level — are now being issued on a flow basis. These reports include information such as product shipments by contributing industries. All 883 geographic area series reports and 651 industry reports have been published. Economic Surveys
2005 Annual Survey of State and Local Government Employment and Payroll — Data on the number of government civilian employees and their gross payrolls. The 2004 report showed most full-time equivalent employees worked in education. Other employment categories include corrections, financial administration, fire protection, health, hospitals, judicial and legal, police protection, public welfare, streets and highways. (Tentatively scheduled for release early-May.)
Facts for Features
Father’s Day (June 18) — The Census Bureau honors “dear old dad” with a collection of statistical information from its demographic and economic subject areas pertaining to Father’s Day. (Scheduled for release April 28.)
The Fourth of July — Flags, fireworks and food are among the topics on which statistics are included in this tribute to the most American of holidays. Data come from across the Census Bureau’s demographic and economic subject areas. (Tentatively scheduled for release early-May.)
