American Community Survey Data Collection — Demographic, social, economic and housing information, usually collected every 10 years, now is being collected monthly from a rolling sample of about 250,000 households across the United States and Puerto Rico. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Feb. 6.)

 

Survey-Related

Local Employment Dynamics: A Profile of Older Workers — These reports focus on older workers by industry, their age, job gains and losses, the industries in which they are concentrated, job stability and earnings. (The reports for Colorado and Pennsylvania are tentatively scheduled for release the week of Feb. 6.)

The Foreign-Born Population in the United States: 2004 — National-level tabulations on this population group by characteristics such as citizenship status, age, year of entry, poverty status and world region of birth. Includes first-ever tabulations on nativity by generation. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Feb. 6.)

Education Attainment in the United States: 2004 — Internet tables detailing education levels by race, Hispanic origin, gender, age and other demographic characteristics at the national and state levels. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Feb. 20.)

Facts for Features: Older Americans Month — Data from the Census Bureau’s demographic subject areas about people 65 and over, who are honored in May. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Feb. 27.)

Facts for Features: Asian Pacific American Heritage Month — Statistical information from the Census Bureau’s demographic subject areas about the Asian and native Hawaiian and other Pacific islander populations whose heritage is celebrated in May. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Feb. 27.)

Support Providers: 2002 — National-level information on annual support payments from people to members of another household, including child support. (Tentatively schedule for release the week of Feb. 27.)

2002 Economic Census of Island Areas: Virgin Islands — Number of establishments and employees, as well as shipments, revenue and payroll, as of calendar year 2002. This 2002 Economic Census report represents the first use of North American Industry Classification System codes in presenting data from an economic census of the island areas. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Feb. 13.)

2002 Economic Census: Geographic Area Series — Data for states, metropolitan areas, counties and cities — published by state and industry sector. Information on the number of establishments and employees; payroll; sales and receipts; or value of shipments. Released on a flow basis at <http://www.census.gov/econ/census02/guide/geosumm.htm>.

Survey-Related

2003 Public Education Finances — Internet tables on revenues, expenditures, debt and financial assets for public elementary and secondary school systems. Includes state rankings of revenues and expenditures per pupil. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Feb. 20.)

2003 State Government Finances — Detailed data on revenue by type and source, such as taxes, charges and federal aid; expenditures by function (e.g., police, fire and education); and cash and security holdings for the nation, and states and other levels of government. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Feb. 27.)
