Disability and American Families: 2000 — Information on the prevalence of disabilities in families at the national, regional and state levels, with additional data on family income, employment status of the family householder and poverty status of families with a member who has a disability. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 28.)

We the People: Asians in the United States — A demographic and socioeconomic statistical portrait of the nation’s Asian population as a whole, as well as of the 11 largest Asian groups, such as Asian Indian, Cambodian and Japanese. This publication is one in a series of nine. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Dec. 5.)

 

Survey-Related

How Americans Heat Their Homes — New analysis of 2003 American Community Survey data ranks usage of home heating fuels (gas, electricity, fuel oil, coal, etc.) for the nation, states, counties and places with 250,000 population or more. Graphs will show change in fuel sources from 1950 to present. (Scheduled for release on Nov. 16.)

Older Americans 2004: Key Indicators of Well-Being — A comprehensive look at one of the fastest-growing segments of our society. The report provides a wealth of data from diverse sources across the federal government. (Scheduled for release on Nov. 18.)

Computer and Internet Use in the United States: September 2001 — Tabulations showing which states were most “wired” with computers and Internet access in late 2001. The tables also contain data on the demographic characteristics of computer users by topics such as educational attainment, income and occupation. Other data show how computers are used at home and work. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 14.)

Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates: 2002 — Estimates of population and poverty for school districts, as well as income and poverty estimates for states and counties. Included are estimates of the number of poor children ages 5 to 17 in the nation’s 15,000 school districts. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 14.)

Facts for Features: Martin Luther King Jr. Day/African-American History Month — Statistical information from the Census Bureau’s subject areas about the African-American community. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 14.)

Local Employment Dynamics: A Profile of Older Workers — These reports focus on older workers by industry, their age, job gains and losses, the industries in which they are concentrated, job stability and earnings. (The report for Idaho is tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 28.)

America’s Families and Living Arrangements: March 2003 — Current Population Survey data on trends in household and family composition, living arrangements, marital status of adults and characteristics of unmarried-couple households. Includes first-ever data on stay-at-home parents. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 28.)

Number, Timing and Duration of Marriages and Divorces: 2001 — An update on the marriage and divorce patterns of men and women in the United States. National estimates include information on marital history for men and women of all ages. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 28.)

Statistical Abstract of the United States: 2004-2005 — Latest edition of the national data book, a perennial government best seller, first published in 1878. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Dec. 5.)

2002 Economic Census: Industry Series — Industry reports (e.g., the manufacture of pet foods, tortillas, roasted nuts) from the 2002 Economic Census. National-level information on number of employees, payroll, and sales and receipts, or value of shipments. Released on a flow basis at <http://www.census.gov/econ/census02/guide/INDSUMM.HTM>.

2002 Vehicle Inventory and Use Survey — State reports with information on fuel efficiency, annual mileage, primary range of operation, permanent equipment and other physical and operational characteristics. Data are for pickup trucks, SUVs, minivans, all other single-unit trucks and truck-tractors. Issued on a flow basis at <http://www.census.gov/svsd/www/02vehinv.html>.

2003 Service Annual Survey: Health Care and Social Assistance Services — Revenue data for ambulatory health-care services, hospitals, physicians’ offices, nursing and residential-care facilities and social assistance establishments. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 21.)

2003 Service Annual Survey: Information Sector Services (Motion Picture and Sound Recording) — Revenue data for the motion picture and video production and distribution industries, including post-production services, record production and distribution, music production and sound recording studios. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 28.)

2003 Service Annual Survey: Information Sector Services (Broadcasting and Telecommunications) — Revenue data for software publishers, motion picture and sound recording, broadcasting and telecommunications and information services, as well as data-processing services. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 28.)

2003 Service Annual Survey: Information Sector Services (Publishing Industries and Data Processing) — Revenue data for newspaper, periodical, book, database and greeting-card publishers; news syndicates, libraries and archives; and online data-processing services. 2002 Nonemployer Statistics — Data on businesses without paid employees, including number of establishments and receipts, organized by 300 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) industries, for the nation and states. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 28.)

2002 County Business Patterns — Data for states and counties on business establishments, employment and payroll organized by the NAICS major economic groups (e.g., construction, manufacturing, retail trade, services and wholesale trade). (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Dec. 5.)
