Local Employment Dynamics: A Profile of Older Workers — These reports focus on older workers by industry, their age, job gains and losses, the industries in which they are concentrated, job stability and earnings. (The report for Idaho is tentatively scheduled for release the week of Oct. 31.)

Computer and Internet Use in the United States: September 2001 — Data show which states were most “wired” with computers and Internet access in late 2001. Also shown are characteristics of computer users such as educational attainment, income and occupation. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 7.)

How Americans Heat Their Homes — New analysis of 2003 American Community Survey data ranks home heating fuels (gas, electricity, fuel oil, coal, etc.) for the nation, states, counties and places with 250,000 population or more. Graphs will show change in fuel sources from 1950 to present. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 14.)

Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates: 2002 — Estimates of population and poverty for school districts, as well as income and poverty estimates for states and counties. Included are estimates of the number of poor children ages 5 to 17 in the nation’s 15,000 school districts. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 14.)

Current Population Survey Data Collection — On Nov. 21, Census Bureau field representatives will begin visiting randomly selected households in the Current Population Survey’s update of employment and voting data. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 14.)

Facts for Features: Martin Luther King Jr. Day/African-American History Month — Statistical information from the Census Bureau’s subject areas about the African-American community. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 14.)

2002 Economic Census: Industry Series — Industry reports (e.g., the manufacture of pet foods, tortillas, roasted nuts) from the 2002 Economic Census. National-level information on number of employees, payroll, and sales and receipts, or value of shipments. Released on a flow basis at <http://www.census.gov/econ/census02/guide/INDSUMM.HTM>.

2002 Vehicle Inventory and Use Survey — State reports with information on fuel efficiency, annual mileage, primary range of operation, permanent equipment and other physical and operational characteristics. Data are for pickup trucks, SUVs, minivans, all other single-unit trucks and truck-tractors. Issued on a flow basis at <http://www.census.gov/svsd/www/02vehinv.html>.

2002 County Business Patterns — Data for states and counties on business establishments, employment and payroll organized by the North American Industry Classification System’s major economic groups (e.g., construction, manufacturing, retail trade, services and wholesale trade). (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 14.)

2003 Service Annual Survey: Health Care and Social Assistance Services — Revenue data by ambulatory health-care services, hospitals, physicians’ offices, nursing and residential care facilities and social assistance. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of Nov. 21.)
