Take notice that on December 22, 1998, Equitrans, L.P. (Equitrans) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, First Revised Volume No. 1, the revised tariff sheets as shown on Appendix A to the filing, with an effective date of February 1, 1999. Equitrans states that the purpose of this filing is to correct or clarify a number of inconsistencies, ambiguities, and typographical errors its Tariff. Equitrans has also identified certain modifications which are required to comport the Tariff to recent changes in Commission Regulations. These tariff modifications are proposed with the intent of making Equitrans' Tariff easier to use and refer to, thereby enhancing service to Equitrans' customers. Equitrans states that these tariff revisions will neither impact the nature of services which Equitrans performs, nor will they result in a general increase in Equitrans' revenues. Equitrans requests a shortened suspension period to permit the tariff sheets to take effect on February 1, 1998. Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Sections 385.214 or 385.211 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed in accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
