Dexter M. Price Named Director Office of Antiboycott Compliance

Photo, Dexter PriceWashington, D.C. -- Dexter M. Price has been appointed Director of the Office of Antiboycott Compliance. Price has served as Acting Director since March 17, 1997. Price joined the Office of Antiboycott Compliance in July of 1978 and served as Deputy Director, Director of Enforcement, Branch Chief, and Compliance Officer.

Price is responsible for directing the OAC's regulatory enforcement activities, including investigation and seeking prosecution of antiboycott violations. He also oversees the public education and out-reach activities of the office, including supervision of the OAC "Telephone Advice Line" and public presentations on compliance with the antiboycott regulations. Price also advises the Assistant Secretary and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Export Enforcement on policies concerning the Arab boycott of Israel.

Additionally, Price advises the State Department in its effort to persuade the Arab League countries to discontinue their boycott of Israel, and consults with the U.S. Treasury Department and other agencies on antiboycott issues.

Price received a Bachelor of Science degree, Magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.

Price was awarded the U.S. Department of Commerce Gold Medal Award for Distinguished Achievement in the Federal Service and the Bronze Medal Award for Superior Federal Service.
