Welcome to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Inspector General's (OIG) Compendium of Environmental Programs (Compendium). The Compendium allows EPA, Inspectors General, the General Accounting Office, the Office of Management and Budget, and other stakeholders interested in environmental programs to use the Compendium database to view data on specific environmental activities.
REPORT
The Compendium database includes the full text of the Compendium narrative report as a page/link and as an Adobe Acrobat document available for downloading. The Compendium narrative report includes information on:
NAVIGATION
There are 5 navigation view buttons arranged vertically on the left side of the screen:
| Agency and Goal - This button displays all documents categorized by Agency and by Goal (clean air and global climate change, clean and safe water, land preservation and restoration, or healthy communities and ecosystems). This view includes a listing of each federal agency, in addition to EPA, that participates in environmental protection. Each federal agency’s activities are organized in a descending fashion under the goals of: (1) the agency’s name; (2) the goals of Clean Air and Global Climate Change, Clean and Safe Water, and Land Preservation and Restoration, Healthy Communities and Ecosystems; and (3) goal-related activities aligned along EPA’s key program areas. For example, a user may first see “Agency for International Development” (agency name) and may click on that agency to reveal one of EPA’s key program areas, “Stratospheric Ozone: Multilateral Fund.” |

SEARCHING
Users may utilize the search options within the Compendium database to quickly find information. For example, visitors to the Compendium website may use the search bar, found at the bottom of the view screens, to locate the various federal agencies that provide air toxics research, or those agencies that implement effluent guidelines for Clean and Safe Water. |
