Gutierrez Applauds Record-Breaking Streak of Job Creation
Washington (Oct. 5)—U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez issued the following statement on the September Employment Report that showed that our unemployment rate remained low at 4.7 percent and the economy created 110,000 new jobs. “Today’s jobs report shows the continued strength of the American economy. With the upward revisions to July and August, and September’s 110,000 new jobs, we are looking at 49 months—over four straight years—of continued job creation.” (More) (Fact Sheet)
