U.S. Census Bureau To Release New Details About
Black-Owned Businesses, Including Local Area Data
- What:
- The U.S. Census Bureau is holding a news conference to release new details about black-owned firms in selected counties, metro areas and cities. Nationwide, the number of black-owned businesses increased 45 percent between 1997 and 2002. Information on the number of firms, sales and receipts, and firms with paid employees by kind of business, will be presented for these areas.
