American Community Survey News Media Tool Kit

In January 2005, the U.S. Census Bureau began the nationwide mailing of the American Community Survey (ACS). This historic new tool will give communities the information they need to track annually how they are changing on a range of social, economic, housing and demographic issues. The ACS is slated to replace the decennial census “long form” in 2010.
