WHAT: The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), U.S. Department of Commerce, will host a Digital Television Transition Public Meeting, Expo and Networking Event
WHEN: Tuesday, September 25, 2007, 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
WHERE: U.S. Department of Commerce
1401 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. (enter at 14th Street)

WASHINGTON, D.C. - NTIA is hosting a public meeting, expo and networking event to allow industry executives, constituency group leaders, and government officials to discuss and to demonstrate the variety of efforts underway to educate Americans about the digital television transition. 

The public meeting will include two panel sessions where featured speakers will discuss their DTV transition strategies and take questions from the public. The complete agenda for the public meeting will be released at a later date. Visit www.ntia.doc.gov for updates.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Kyle McSlarrow, CEO and President of the National Cable and Telecommunications Association
  • David Rehr, CEO and President of the National Association of Broadcasters
  • Loriene Roy, President of the American Library Association
  • Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association

Invited speakers include:

  • Larry Harris, Executive Vice President, RadioShack
  • Bill Novelli, CEO, AARP
  • Roberto Salazar, Administrator, USDA Food and Nutrition Service
  • Walter Ulloa, Chairman and CEO, Entravision Communications

Over a dozen organizations and companies will exhibit products, services, and activites related to the digital transition in the U.S. Department of Commerce Lobby, beginning at 9:00 A.M.
