Research Accomplishments
This page provides highlights of the research progress and accomplishments of the Ecological Research Program in EPA's Office of Research and Development between 2005 - 2007. Innovative research has led to more effective monitoring, protection, and restoration of ecosystems. Scientists have developed new methods, models and tools to assist EPA, states and local governments with safeguarding our natural resources. They have provided new approaches to monitoring and assessment and advanced understanding of our delicate and vital ecosystems.
