ALRs provide legal researchers with a continuing series of timely annotations that collect, organize, and evaluate all case law relevant to a specific and narrow point of law. Westlaw offers access to free American Law Reports (ALR) resources on its website ( http://west.thomson.com/alr/resources/ ). Included are the most recent ALR annotations and topics. Features include:
In addition, West currently provides access to ALR’s 2005-2006 United States Supreme Court Update: Part I. Included are grants or denials of certiorari as well as opinions for each topic. Each summary is followed by a citation to a related annotation in ALR. Some of the topics covered are Labor & Employment, Securities Regulations, and Workers Compensation. The law library also has ALR Digest of Decisions and Annotations. |
