6/23/92 U.S. v. J.R. "Bob" Smith Oil Co., Inc.
Criminal No.: 3-92-0100 (E.D. Tenn.)

One-count information was filed in U.S. District Court in Knoxville, Tennessee, charging J.R. "Bob" Smith Oil Co., Inc. of Bristol, Virginia, with mail fraud, 18 U.S.C. § 1341, in connection with a scheme to defraud the Raytheon Corporation Missile Systems Division Plant (Raytheon Plant) in Bristol, Tennessee, of money and property through the defendant's sale of petroleum products to the Raytheon Plant.

6/24/92 US v. James F. Woods; James L. Garner, Sr.; and Edgar J. Dobbins
Criminal No.: 92-90-R (W.D. Va.)

One-count indictment was filed in US District Court in Roanoke, Virginia, charging James F. Woods of Durham, North Carolina; James L. Garner, Sr. of Beckley, West Virginia; and Edgar J. Dobbins of Radford, Virginia, all present or former employees of Meadow Gold Dairies, Inc., which is wholly owned by Borden, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, with price fixing and bid rigging, in violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act, involving milk and other dairy products sold to commercial and institutional customers and designated schools in western Virginia and southern West Virginia.

6/24/92 US v. Valley Rich Dairy
Criminal No.: 92-91-R (WD Va.)

One-count information was filed in US District Court in Roanoke, Virginia, charging Valley Rich Dairy, a joint venture in Roanoke, Virginia, with rigging bids, in violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act, for the award and performance of contracts to supply school milk to certain county and independent school systems in parts of southwestern Virginia and certain county school systems in parts of southeastern West Virginia, beginning at least as early as 1985 and continuing at least into 1987.

6/25/92 US v. Hughes Christensen Company
Criminal No.: H-92-145 (S.D. Tex.)

One-count information was filed in US District Court in Houston, Texas, charging Hughes Christensen Company of Houston, Texas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Baker Hughes Inc., with fixing prices, in violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act, for the sale of tricone drill bits in the United States. Tricone drill bits are commonly used on oil drilling rigs to cut through soil and rock.

6/26/92 US v. Bell Dairy Products. Inc.
Criminal No.: 3-92CR-291T (N.D. Tex.)

One-count information was filed in US District Court in Dallas, Texas, charging Bell Dairy Products, Inc. of Lubbock, Texas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dean Foods Company, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, with rigging bids for the award and performance of contracts to supply fluid milk to public school districts in northwest Texas, beginning at least as early as 1975 and continuing until at least June 1988.

One-count information was filed in US District Court in Dallas, Texas, charging Gandy's Dairies, Inc. of San Angelo, Texas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dean Foods Company, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, with rigging bids for the award and performance of contracts to supply fluid milk to public school districts in west central Texas, beginning at least as early as 1979 and continuing until at least June 1988.
