Virtual Mentoring and Technical Support Center
The Virtual Mentoring and Technical Support Center (VMTSC) represents an effort by TMIP to expand the reach of the Mentoring Program by offering weekly one-hour online virtual office sessions via the TMIP web conferencing system. These virtual office sessions are designed to enhance the exchange of technical knowledge, provide wider opportunities for new travel demand modelers to gain knowledge from experienced modelers and more widely communicate the breadth of experiences within the travel modeling community.

Office hours are from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm Eastern time. Access to an office session is on a first-come/first-served basis up to 20 people.

The objective of the TMIP VMTSC office session is to provide a forum for real-time discussion of various travel modeling related topics. Each one-hour office session is based upon questions posted to the VMTSC website or asked during the course of the one-hour office session. The office hours are designed to promote technical exchange and provide wider opportunities for new travel demand modelers to gain knowledge from experienced modelers. The content of neither the sessions nor the sessions themselves do not represent the opinions of FHWA and do not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or specification by FHWA. These VMTSC office sessions do not determine or advocate a policy decision/directive or make specific recommendations regarding future research initiatives. The office session are based solely on questions, answers and related discussion during the office sessions.
