WASHINGTON, D.C.--Acting Administrator David J. Barram of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) today announced the appointment of David L. Bibb, Deputy Commissioner of GSA's Public Buildings Service, as Deputy Associate Administrator of the Office of Real Property in GSA's Office of Governmentwide Policy. The appointment is effective in January.
"David's experience in planning and development during his long and distinguished career at GSA makes him an outstanding choice for this challenging role in overseeing governmentwide real estate policy," Barram said.
In his new position Bibb will be responsible for the direction of policy and regulatory development for the acquisition, management and disposal of real property assets of the federal government.
Bibb joined GSA's Atlanta office as a management intern in 1971 and since 1978 has filled a series of executive real estate positions at agency headquarters in Washington, D.C. He has received numerous awards for his service, including the Administrator's Distinguished Service Award and the Presidential Rank of Meritorious Executive Award.
