Detailed Language Spoken at Home: 2000 — Special tabulation on number of people 5 years old and over by detailed language spoken at home; summarized at national, state, county and census tract levels. Data not shown unless there are at least three unweighted speakers of a given language in different households in the geographic area. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of June 27.)

Disability and American Families: 2000
— Information on the prevalence of disabilities in families at the national, regional and state levels, with additional data on family income, employment status of the family householder and poverty status of families with a member who has a disability. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of June 27.)

Ancestry: 2000 — In addition to national-level ancestry results, this report lists the five largest ancestries at the regional and state levels and the single largest ancestry in each of the 10 largest U.S. cities. A thematic map illustrates the geographic distribution of the largest ancestry groups across all counties. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of June 27.)

Working at Home: 2000 — National tabulations on home-based workers by age, sex, educational attainment, race and Hispanic origin, occupation, disability status and earnings. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of July 11.)

 

Non-Census

Educational Attainment in the United States: 2003 — An annual report card on college and high school graduation rates at the national and state levels, with information by race and ethnicity; based on the Current Population Survey. (Scheduled for release on June 29.)

Facts for Features: Back to School — Statistics from the Census Bureau’s demographic and economic subject areas pertaining to teachers, students and the reopening of the country’s elementary and secondary schools. Similar Facts for Features commemorate other events or holidays throughout the year. (Scheduled for release on July 6.)

Local Employment Dynamics: A Profile of Older Workers — These reports focus on older workers by industry, their age, job gains and losses, the industries in which they are concentrated, job stability and earnings. (Illinois and West Virginia are tentatively scheduled for release the week of June 27.)

Dynamics of Economic Well-Being: Labor Force Turnover, 1996-1999 — National report on the size, speed and direction of labor force turnover and its components, how monthly turnover varies and average turnover rates for major industry and occupation groups. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of June 27.)

The 2001 Residential Finance Survey Microdata Files — Individual responses, which do not identify any person, property or mortgage, to Census 2000-related survey focusing on the amount and type of mortgage debt in the United States. Survey asks homeowners or rental property owners about the purchase of their property, how it was financed, whether it was refinanced and, if they received money from a refinancing, what they did with it. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of June 27.)

Dynamics of Economic Well-Being: Movements in U.S. Income Distribution, 1996-1999 — Examines movements in income of the same households within income-distribution quintiles for each of four years using data collected in the Survey of Income and Program Participation. National-level data cross-tabulated by age, marital status, educational attainment and race and Hispanic origin. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of July 4.)

Facts for Features: Labor Day — Statistics from the Census Bureau’s demographic subject areas pertaining to the nation’s labor force. Similar Facts for Features commemorate other events or holidays throughout the year. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of July 4.)

Facts for Features: Hispanic Heritage Month — Statistics from the Census Bureau’s demographic subject areas pertaining to the nation’s Hispanic population. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of July 11.)

Facts for Features: Grandparents Day — Data from the Census Bureau’s demographic subject areas highlighting the role of grandparents as caregivers to their grandchildren. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of July 11.)

Facts for Features: Unmarried and Single Americans Week — Statistics from the Census Bureau’s demographic subject areas on the characteristics of unmarried and single Americans. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of July 18.)

2003 State and County Housing Unit Estimates — Update of the nation’s housing stock at the national, state and county levels for 2003. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of July 18.)

 

Economic

2002 Census of Governments: State and Local Government Finances — Data files showing revenues by type and source, such as taxes and charges; expenditures by function (e.g., police, fire, education), intergovernmental revenues and expenditures, debt, and cash and security holdings for the nation, states, District of Columbia and other levels of government. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of July 11.)

Radio

Profile America and Al Dia (Spanish) for July — Upcoming segments include the sale to the public of the first stamps issued by the U.S. Postal Service (July 1); Independence Day (July 4) and the invention of the ice cream sundae (July 8). (Scheduled for release on June 30.)

Featured Photo of the Month — July 4th may be the most American of holidays.
