Is There a Gender Gap in Earnings? Evidence from Census 2000 About Earnings by Occupation — A special tabulation of the number and percentage of men and women in 505 civilian occupations nationwide, matched with median and average earnings data. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 28.)

Non-Census

Local Employment Dynamics (LED): A Profile of Older Workers in Oregon — This report highlights Oregon’s older workers by industry, including age, job gains and losses, concentrations of older workers, job stability and earnings. (Scheduled for release on March 8.)

Estimates of State Populations by Age: July 1, 2003 — Estimated population by specific age groups, such as voting-age (18 and over), elementary school-age (5 to 13) and older (65 and over). Numerical and percentage increases since Census 2000 included. (Scheduled for release on March 10.)

Facts for Features: 50th Anniversary of ‘Wonderful World of Color’ TV — Statistical information from the Census Bureau’s demographic and economic subject areas pertaining to the 50th anniversary of the first color television sets. (Scheduled for release on March 11.)

10 Years on the World Wide Web — The Census Bureau looks back at the “then” and “now” of using the World Wide Web to make its information available in a point-and-click Internet world. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 7.)

Facts for Features: Lewis and Clark Bicentennial — Statistical information from the Census Bureau’s demographic subject areas pertaining to the 200th anniversary of the Lewis and Clark expedition. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 7.)

U.S. Population Projections: 2000 to 2050 — First update since January 2000 of the projected composition of the resident U.S. population by race, Hispanic origin, age and sex at mid-century. National-level data only. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 14.)

International Brief: Global Population at a Glance: 2002 and Beyond — This look ahead
(to 2050) at worldwide population trends summarizes two reports being released simultaneously: Global Population Profile: 2002 and The AIDS Pandemic in the 21st Century. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 14.)

Children and the Households They Live In: 2000 — Social and economic characteristics of the nation’s 72 million children. Summary data for the nation, states and some large cities range from children living in their grandparents’ household to those living with foreign-born householders. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 14.)

Census Brief: Journey to Work: 2000 — National, regional, state and selected metro area information on America’s commute to work, including average travel time, transportation mode, carpooling versus driving alone and departure times. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 21.)

Geographical Mobility: 2002 to 2003 — National and regional information on how often and how far people move, along with characteristics of the movers and reasons why they move. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 21.)

Data Collection in April for Quarterly Consumer Expenditure Survey — In April, Census Bureau interviewers will contact a national sample of randomly selected households in a survey that measures what Americans spend on groceries, clothing, health care and housing. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 21.)

County Population Estimates and Rankings: 2003 — Internet tables showing April 1, 2000, to July 1, 2003, population estimates, rankings and components of change for the nation’s 3,141 counties. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 21.)

Economic

2002 State Government Finances — Summary data show detailed revenue by type and source, such as taxes, charges and federal aid; expenditures by function (e.g., police, fire and education); and cash and security holdings for the nation, the states and other levels of government. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 14.)

2002 Economic Census Advance Report — First results from the 2002 Economic Census consists of national data at the three-digit North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) level. The advance report is the first product in what will be a regular flow of 2002 economic data this year and next. The preliminary data include the 2002 number of businesses and employees, the value of shipments, sales, receipts and revenue; and payroll for industries in several NAICS sectors. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 28.)

2002 Economic Census of Island Areas: Northern Mariana Islands — Detailed economic statistics include number of establishments, employees, shipments, revenue and payroll. The report is the first use of NAICS codes in the census of island areas. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of March 28.)
