Gross Migration Summary — Internet file with counts of people 5 years old and over, nonmovers and movers by geographic area (United States, regions, states, counties and minor civil divisions in New England, and individual metropolitan areas); the numbers of in- and out-migrants from the same or different geographic area, as well as domestic net migration and the number of people living abroad five years ago. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 27.)

Facts for Features: Asian Pacific American Heritage Month — Statistical information from the Census Bureau's demographic areas about the Asian and Pacific islander population whose heritage is celebrated in May. Similar Facts for Features commemorate other historic dates or events throughout the year. (Scheduled for release on April 17.)

Facts for Features: Mother's Day — Statistical information from the Census Bureau's demographic and economic subject areas pertaining to Mother's Day 2003. Similar Facts for Features commemorate other special occasions throughout the year. (Scheduled for release on April 28.)

Facts for Features Special Edition: U.S. Armed Forces and Veterans — Information from Census 2000 and other sources on the men and women in the military, as well as those who have served. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 6.)

County Population Estimates and Rankings: 2002 — Internet tables showing July 1, 2002, population estimates, rankings and components of change for the nation's 3,141 counties. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 13.)

Population Estimates for Puerto Rico Municipios: 2002 — Estimates of the population of the commonwealth and its municipios as of July 1, 2002. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 20.)

The Black Population in the United States: March 2002 — Report and tables from the March 2002 Current Population Survey show data for blacks on age, marital status, family type and size, education, occupation, income, poverty and housing. The tables also show comparable national data for non-Hispanic whites. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 20.)

Supplemental Security Income and its Noninstitutional Recipients: July 1997 and 1999 — Information about who receives SSI benefits, how much they receive and other demographic characteristics. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 20.)

Extended Measures of Well-Being: Living Conditions in the United States: 1998 — Examines a large set of well-being measures in 1998 and compares them with similar measures in 1992. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 20.)

Facts for Features: Older Americans Month — Data from the Census Bureau's demographic areas about the 65-and-over population, which is honored and recognized in May. Similar Facts for Features commemorate other historic dates or events throughout the year. (Scheduled for release the week of April 27.)

The Older Population in the United States: March 2002 —Report and tables from the March 2002 Current Population Survey present national-level data on the social and economic characteristics of people age 55 and over, with tabulations on subjects such as marital status, educational attainment, labor force status, income and poverty status. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 27.)

Economic

2001 County Business Patterns — State and county data on business establishments, employment and payroll for major economic areas, such as construction, manufacturing, retail trade, services and wholesale trade, by North American Industry Classification System codes. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 6.)

2001 State Government Finances — Detailed revenue by type and source, such as taxes, charges and federal aid; expenditures by function (e.g., police, fire and education); and cash and security holdings for the nation and states and other levels of government. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 13.)

2002 State Tax Collections — Tax collections by category, such as severance taxes, occupation and business licenses, individual income taxes, general sales taxes and property taxes, for the nation and states. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of April 13).

Consolidated Federal Funds Report for Fiscal Year 2002 (State and County Areas) — This report is the only consolidated source of state and local area data on the majority of direct federal expenditures, as well as data on federal loan and insurance programs. (Tentatively scheduled for release the week of May 4.)

The Profile America CD for April is in distribution. This series of 60-second features, one for each day of the month, is heard on more than 500 stations across the country. Each feature is keyed to an event whose anniversary or observance is celebrated on the air date. April's Profile America covers such items as National Stress Awareness Day, America's first laundromats, personal computers and National Volunteers Week.

Census B-Roll: The American Community Survey (ACS) — This broadcast-source tape features footage of operations and activities related to the American Community Survey, a new survey that will provide current data every year. Material on this tape includes form-filling, door-to-door enumeration, data processing, as well as ACS graphics. TRT 7:25, Project #VO2-133.

The Civil War ended on April 9, 1865, with an estimated 3 million men having served on both sides during this four-year-long struggle.
