  Electric Current Abroad

A useful tool for exporters, manufacturers, and travelers alike, “Electric Current Abroad” lists the characteristics of electric current available and the type of attachment plugs used in over 150 countries. It is an update of a similar handbook published in 1991. The booklet includes a comprehensive table that indicates the type of current (alternating or direct current), number of phases, frequency (hertz), and voltage, as well as the stability of the frequency and the number of wires to a commercial or residential installation. Accompanying illustrations clearly show the types of plugs and sockets in commercial use. Note that the information contained in this publication pertains to domestic and commercial service only. It does not apply to special commercial installations involving relatively high voltage requirements or to industrial installations.
