Featured building photo: the Hilo Federal Building and U.S. Post Office. This stately building, located on the big island of Hawaii, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. When it was originally occupied in 1917, it housed the post office and courthouse. In 1938, two wings were added, and in 1984 the courthouse was converted to federal office space.
