EVANS AND FORTUNE 500 CEO’s TO URGE PASSAGE OF PRESIDENT’S GROWTH AND JOBS CREATION PLAN


Commerce Secretary Don Evans and Fortune 500 CEO’s who are members of the President’s Export Council (PEC) will hold a press briefing to back passage of President Bush’s economic growth and jobs plan.

Following the PEC’s first meeting with President Bush, Evans and PEC Chairman and CEO of Marriott International, Inc., J.W. Marriott, Jr., PEC Vice Chairman and CEO of Applied Materials, Inc., James C. Morgan, President and CEO of Argent Associates, Inc., Betty Manetta, Chairman and CEO of Merisant Company Arnold Donald and Chairman and CEO of United Parcel Service of America, Inc., Michael L. Eskew will highlight the economic boost and new jobs that the plan will create.
