U.S. Secretary of Commerce Don Evans to Focus on
Trade, Energy and Technology

Evans will visit his hometown of Midland, Texas, to spotlight technology and economic growth by touring the Midland College Advanced Technology Center. The Commerce Department’s Economic Development Administration invested $900,000 in March to help build the technology center.

Evans will discuss the growing commercial relationship between the United States and Russia during a visit to Houston, Texas. Secretary Evans will tour KEM-TRON Technologies, a small manufacturing business that began exporting environmental technologies to Russia in 1990.
