U.S. Commerce Secretary Don Evans to Focus on International Trade and Corporate Citizenship
Week of May 6-10

U.S. Commerce Secretary Don Evans will focus on international trade and corporate citizenship next week. He will speak about the benefits of Trade Promotion Authority to the Council of the Americas Conference on May 6. Then, on Tuesday, May 7, he will bestow the Ron Brown Awards to three companies for outstanding corporate citizenship in helping their communities. The ceremony is at the White House. Finally, on May 8, he will deliver the keynote address to International Chamber of Commerce, in Denver, CO, where he will brief the group on his recent business development mission to China and discuss the need for Trade Promotion Authority for the President.
